Ascentris, a Denver-based real estate private equity firm, today announced the promotion of Denis Curran to Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Curran will oversee the firm’s operating platform and work alongside senior leadership to support the continued growth and success of Ascentris. The firm manages a series of discretionary investment vehicles focused on value-add and core real estate opportunities across the United States.
Mr. Curran joined Ascentris in 2014 as an Associate and has since assumed a series of leadership roles across the firm’s investment platform. He played a key role in expanding the firm’s investment activity across the Midwest, Texas, and Pacific Northwest and has helped deepen relationships with several of the firm’s largest institutional investors.
Prior to joining Ascentris, Mr. Curran was a derivatives trader with Infinium Capital Management, a Chicago-based hedge fund. He earned a B.B.A. in Real Estate and Risk Management from the University of Wisconsin and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
